Life's Trail

On March 23, my wife and church family surprised me at an evening fellowship meal with an outdoor themed cake, balloons, survival playing cards, and a cool solar rechargeable, inflatable lantern.

Celebrating a life of 50 treks around the sun, I look at the my family, my church family, my scouting family, and all the others friends in my life, and I must recognized how truely blessed I am.  My trek on this trail we call life has been touched by so many.  Each one of them has left their mark on me. In the outdoors we speak of "Leave No Trace". While respect that in my activities in the outdoors, our lives are to have an impact on others. With others, at a minimum I hope to "Do No Harm", but I should do far more than that.  I must endeavor to do good for others.  I must seek to make their lives better by my interaction with them. This is how I must live as a follower of Jesus. It is reasonable to believe that He walked almost everywhere he went. The trail he walked is one that I cannot bear alone. With His help, and the help of others, may I follow in His steps.
